Spiced Orange Custard With Cream
Ingredients
- 6 oranges
- 6 eggs, well beaten
- 1 pint heavy cream
- ¼ pound granulated sugar
- Pinch ground cinnamon
- Pinch ground nutmeg
- 1 small lump butter
Method
- 1 Mix orange juice, beaten eggs, cream, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg thoroughly.
- 2 Place mixture over a slow fire and stir constantly until it thickens.
- 3 Remove from heat and stir in the lump of butter until melted.
