Sourdough Pancakes With Yeast And Baking Soda
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cake compressed yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- flour
- 1 cup thick sour milk
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking soda
Method
- 1 Scald 2 cups milk, dissolve yeast and salt in it. Sift in enough flour to make a thin, smooth batter. Set to rise overnight.
- 2 In the morning, add 1 cup thick sour milk, 1 tbsp melted butter, 2 beaten eggs, and 1 tsp baking soda. Add enough flour to make a smooth, thin batter.
- 3 Let stand for 20-30 minutes. Cook on a hot griddle as usual.
