Sour Milk Cornbread
Ingredients
- 2 cups cornmeal
- 2 cups sour milk
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons fat
- 2 tablespoons corn syrup or molasses
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
Method
- 1 Mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
- 2 Add the sour milk, egg, fat, and corn syrup or molasses. Beat well until combined.
- 3 Pour into a greased pan and bake for 20 minutes.
