Sour Cream Raisin Nut Drop Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup rich sour cream
- 1 1/4 cups pastry flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup raisins, cut in pieces
- 1/4 cup nut meats, cut in pieces
Method
- 1 Cream butter and sugar together.
- 2 Beat in the egg until combined.
- 3 Dissolve baking soda in sour cream.
- 4 Add sour cream mixture to butter mixture alternately with dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking powder).
- 5 Stir in vanilla, raisins, and nuts.
- 6 Drop spoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet.
- 7 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until set.
