Sour Cream Maple Drop Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp Crisco
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3 tbsp hot water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Flour (as needed)
- Maple sugar (for topping)
Method
- 1 Cream Crisco and sugar together, then add the well-beaten egg and mix well.
- 2 Add sour cream, salt, and baking soda dissolved in hot water. Mix thoroughly.
- 3 Add enough flour to create a dough with the right consistency to drop from a spoon.
- 4 Place spoonfuls of dough on a baking sheet and grate maple sugar over each cookie.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 8 minutes.
