Sour Cream Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2 tablespoons melted Crisco
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a baking pan with Crisco.
  2. 2 In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, and salt. Stir in melted Crisco and beaten eggs.
  3. 3 Mix baking soda into the sour cream, then combine with the dry mixture until well blended.
  4. 4 Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes.
