Slow Roast Pork Loin With Pan Gravy
Ingredients
- 1 pork loin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 tablespoon flour
- cold water for slurry
Method
- 1 Wipe pork with a damp cloth and place in a pan in a very hot oven (425°F) for 20 minutes until well browned.
- 2 Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper, and 1 cup cold water to the pan. Roast slowly (300°F) for 3 to 4 hours, adding water as necessary.
- 3 Remove pork. Mix 1 tablespoon flour with cold water to make a slurry, add to the pan juices, season, and boil until thickened to form a gravy.
