Slow Cooked Tomato Sauce With Butter
Ingredients
- 10 tomatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon flour or grated bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup broth or hot water
- 2 ounces butter
Method
- 1 Bake tomatoes with salt and pepper until they resemble a marmalade.
- 2 Stir in flour or bread crumbs and broth or hot water.
- 3 Stew gently for 10 minutes.
- 4 Remove from heat and stir in butter until melted.
