Slow Cooked Beef Stew With Onions
Ingredients
- Beef, cut into small neat pieces
- Onions, minced finely
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cloves
- Pepper
- Salt
- Water
- Cornflour (or mustard, for thickening)
Method
- 1 Cut beef into small pieces and place in a pot with minced onions, bay leaves, cloves, pepper, and salt.
- 2 Add enough water to cover the meat and simmer gently for three hours.
- 3 Thicken the sauce by stirring in cornflour mixed with a little cold water, or use mustard to taste.
