Slow Cooked Beef Stew With Onions

Ingredients

  • Beef, cut into small neat pieces
  • Onions, minced finely
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 cloves
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Cornflour (or mustard, for thickening)

Method

  1. 1 Cut beef into small pieces and place in a pot with minced onions, bay leaves, cloves, pepper, and salt.
  2. 2 Add enough water to cover the meat and simmer gently for three hours.
  3. 3 Thicken the sauce by stirring in cornflour mixed with a little cold water, or use mustard to taste.
