Simple Simmered Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oatmeal
  • ¼ cup cold water
  • 1 cup hot water
  • moist sugar or salt and butter

Method

  1. 1 Mix 2 tbsp oatmeal with ¼ cup cold water to form a smooth paste.
  2. 2 Pour the mixture into a saucepan containing 1 cup of hot water.
  3. 3 Stir constantly over low heat and simmer gently for 15 minutes.
  4. 4 Sweeten with sugar or serve with salt and butter.
