Simple Seasoned Lima Beans
Ingredients
- Lima beans (fresh or dried)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Cream or butter
Method
- 1 If using dried beans, soak them overnight. Shell fresh beans and wash in cold water.
- 2 Place beans in a pot of water and bring to a boil. Cook fresh beans for about 1 hour, or dried beans for 2 hours or longer until tender.
- 3 Drain the beans and return them to the pot. Season with salt and pepper, then stir in cream or butter.
- 4 Keep warm and serve immediately.
