Simple Seasoned Lima Beans

Ingredients

  • Lima beans (fresh or dried)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cream or butter

Method

  1. 1 If using dried beans, soak them overnight. Shell fresh beans and wash in cold water.
  2. 2 Place beans in a pot of water and bring to a boil. Cook fresh beans for about 1 hour, or dried beans for 2 hours or longer until tender.
  3. 3 Drain the beans and return them to the pot. Season with salt and pepper, then stir in cream or butter.
  4. 4 Keep warm and serve immediately.
