Simple Chocolate Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cream or milk
Method
- 1 Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and boil for five minutes.
- 2 Let the syrup cool slightly, then stir in the melted unsweetened chocolate.
- 3 Stir in vanilla extract and keep warm in a pan of hot water until ready to serve.
- 4 Just before serving, stir in the cream or milk.
