Simple Bread And Butter Pudding With Sugar
Ingredients
- slices of bread and butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 pint milk
- currants, washed
- 1 or 2 eggs (optional)
Method
- 1 Place thin slices of bread and butter in the bottom of a pie dish.
- 2 Sprinkle with sugar and currants. Add more bread slices, sugar, and currants on top.
- 3 Beat eggs with milk if using. Pour the milk mixture over the bread and let soak for 30 minutes.
- 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until set.
