Simmered Peas With Lettuce And Mint
Ingredients
- 1 pint shelled peas
- 1 head lettuce
- ½ cup water
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 sprig mint
- 1 ounce butter
- Salt to taste
Method
- 1 Wash the lettuce and cut it into fine pieces.
- 2 Place the lettuce, peas, water, sliced onion, mint, and butter in a stewpan.
- 3 Simmer without the lid for about 30 minutes, or until the peas are quite tender.
