Simmered Mutton Chops With Turnips
Ingredients
- mutton chops
- cold water
- 1 onion
- turnips
Method
- 1 Place mutton chops and an onion in a stew-pan. Add enough cold water to cover the chops.
- 2 Bring to a boil, then skim the surface. Cover the pan tightly and reduce heat to very low.
- 3 Simmer gently for about 45 minutes until the chops are tender.
- 4 Add turnips to the pan to boil with the chops. Skim well.
- 5 Serve the chops and turnips in a deep dish with the broth.
