Simmered Apple Purée With Cinnamon

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 24 sugar cubes
  • 6 apples
  • Pinch of cinnamon or cloves

Method

  1. 1 Dissolve the sugar in the water in a pot.
  2. 2 Add the whole, unpeeled apples and a pinch of cinnamon or cloves.
  3. 3 Simmer for 20-30 minutes until the apples are very soft.
  4. 4 Remove from heat and rub the mixture through a sieve with a wooden spoon to create a smooth purée.
