Sherry Sardine Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 dash paprika
- ½ cup stock
- ½ cup sherry
- 1 cup sardines, bones and skin removed, flesh flaked
Method
- 1 Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and paprika, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth and lightly browned.
- 2 Gradually whisk in the stock and sherry. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens.
- 3 Stir in the flaked sardines. Simmer for a few minutes until the mixture is very hot and well combined.
