Ingredients

  • very large fresh mushrooms
  • oil or butter
  • pepper
  • salt
  • thin slices of toast
  • sherry or white wine
  • minced parsley
  • lemon juice

Method

  1. 1 Peel and trim the very large fresh mushrooms.
  2. 2 Fry the mushrooms in oil or butter seasoned with pepper and salt.
  3. 3 Serve the mushrooms on small thin slices of toast.
  4. 4 Place a teaspoonful of sherry or white wine on each mushroom, or use minced parsley and lemon juice instead.
