Sherry Fruit Salad With Figs And Dates
Ingredients
- 8 oz figs, cut into small pieces
- 4 oz pitted dates
- 4 oranges, sliced
- 1 cup canned strawberries
- 1 cup canned pineapple
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 3-4 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup sherry
Method
- 1 Prepare the fruit by cutting the figs into small pieces and slicing the oranges.
- 2 Pit the dates and combine them with the figs, oranges, canned strawberries, and canned pineapple in a large bowl.
- 3 Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with sugar.
- 4 Pour the sherry over the fruit and gently toss to coat evenly.
- 5 Serve the salad on a bed of lettuce leaves.
