Sherry Fruit Salad With Figs And Dates

Ingredients

  • 8 oz figs, cut into small pieces
  • 4 oz pitted dates
  • 4 oranges, sliced
  • 1 cup canned strawberries
  • 1 cup canned pineapple
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 3-4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup sherry

Method

  1. 1 Prepare the fruit by cutting the figs into small pieces and slicing the oranges.
  2. 2 Pit the dates and combine them with the figs, oranges, canned strawberries, and canned pineapple in a large bowl.
  3. 3 Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with sugar.
  4. 4 Pour the sherry over the fruit and gently toss to coat evenly.
  5. 5 Serve the salad on a bed of lettuce leaves.
