Sautéed Green Beans With Tomatoes And Basil
Ingredients
- 1 pound green beans, ends snipped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 can (14.5 ounce) tomatoes, drained and chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil (or 1/2 teaspoon dried)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (or 1/2 teaspoon dried)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- 1 Cook beans in boiling water for 5 minutes until crisp. Drain and rinse under cold water. Set aside.
- 2 Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- 3 Add tomatoes, basil, and parsley. Cook for 3 minutes to combine flavors.
- 4 Stir beans into the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
