Sausage Stuffed Acorn Squash

Ingredients

  • 3 acorn squash
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 lb pork sausage
  • 1 tsp sage
  • bread crumbs

Method

  1. 1 Wash squash, cut in halves, and remove seeds.
  2. 2 Place a tablespoon of molasses in each half and sprinkle with salt and sage.
  3. 3 Fill the cavity with sausage and top with bread crumbs.
  4. 4 Place halves in a baking pan with an inch of water, cover, and bake at 400°F for 40 minutes.
  5. 5 Remove cover and brown the tops.
