Sardine And Olive Tea Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • bread slices, ½-inch thick
  • butter
  • sardines, skin and bones removed
  • olives, chopped very fine
  • capers, chopped very fine
  • lemon juice

Method

  1. 1 Butter and toast bread slices, then trim off the crusts.
  2. 2 Remove skin and bones from sardines and lay them carefully over the toast.
  3. 3 Mix finely chopped olives and capers, then sprinkle the mixture over the sardines.
  4. 4 Add a teaspoon of lemon juice to each sandwich, cut into desired shapes, and serve.
