Sardine And Olive Tea Sandwiches
Ingredients
- bread slices, ½-inch thick
- butter
- sardines, skin and bones removed
- olives, chopped very fine
- capers, chopped very fine
- lemon juice
Method
- 1 Butter and toast bread slices, then trim off the crusts.
- 2 Remove skin and bones from sardines and lay them carefully over the toast.
- 3 Mix finely chopped olives and capers, then sprinkle the mixture over the sardines.
- 4 Add a teaspoon of lemon juice to each sandwich, cut into desired shapes, and serve.
