Salted Long Cut Potato Fries
Ingredients
- potatoes (white or sweet)
- cold water
- deep fat for frying
- salt
Method
- 1 Peel and cut potatoes into long, even strips. Soak in cold water for about 1 hour.
- 2 Drain the potatoes and dry them thoroughly.
- 3 Heat deep fat until a piece of bread browns in 60 seconds. Fry potatoes until brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
- 4 Drain on paper towels and salt just before serving.
