Salted Long Cut Potato Fries

Ingredients

  • potatoes (white or sweet)
  • cold water
  • deep fat for frying
  • salt

Method

  1. 1 Peel and cut potatoes into long, even strips. Soak in cold water for about 1 hour.
  2. 2 Drain the potatoes and dry them thoroughly.
  3. 3 Heat deep fat until a piece of bread browns in 60 seconds. Fry potatoes until brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
  4. 4 Drain on paper towels and salt just before serving.
