Sago Chicken Soup
Ingredients
- 1 chicken, cut into 4 quarters
- 1 quart water
- 2 ounces sago
- 1 small sprig thyme
- 1 small sprig parsley
- salt to taste
Method
- 1 Clean, singe, and cut the chicken into four quarters. Place in a clean saucepan with a quart of water.
- 2 Bring to a boil over heat. Skim well to remove impurities.
- 3 Add sago, thyme, parsley, and salt. Boil gently for one hour.
- 4 Serve the broth with sago in a cup. Serve the chicken separately if desired.
