Sage Onion Bread Crumb Gravy
Ingredients
- 1 oz onion, chopped very fine
- 0.5 oz green sage leaves, chopped very fine
- 4 tbsp water
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 oz fine bread crumbs
- 0.25 pt broth, gravy, or melted butter
Method
- 1 Chop the onion and sage very fine. Place them in a stew-pan with 4 tablespoons of water.
- 2 Simmer gently for 10 minutes.
- 3 Add pepper, salt, and bread crumbs. Mix well.
- 4 Pour in broth, gravy, or melted butter. Stir well and simmer for a few minutes longer.
