Rye Milk Rolls With Nuts

Ingredients

  • 4 cups rye flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 6 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons fat
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Method

  1. 1 Mix dry ingredients thoroughly.
  2. 2 Add milk, nuts and melted shortening.
  3. 3 Knead dough.
  4. 4 Shape into rolls and place into greased pans.
  5. 5 Let stand for one-half hour.
  6. 6 Bake in a 350°F oven for 30 minutes.
