Rum Egg Nog With Whipped Cream
Ingredients
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp rum or brandy
- Milk to fill a glass
- Nutmeg for garnish
- Whipped cream (optional)
Method
- 1 Beat the egg yolk and sugar together until light and creamy.
- 2 Whip the egg white to stiff peaks, then gently fold it into the yolk mixture.
- 3 Pour the mixture into a glass and add the rum or brandy.
- 4 Fill the rest of the glass with milk, stirring or shaking well to combine.
- 5 Grate fresh nutmeg over the top. Optionally substitute milk with whipped cream.
