Rose Water Spiced Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 lb sugar
- 1 lb flour
- 1 nutmeg, grated
- Cinnamon to taste
- Rose water to taste
- 3 eggs, beaten
- Melted butter as needed
Method
- 1 Sift 1 lb flour with 1 lb sugar, grated nutmeg, and cinnamon into a large bowl.
- 2 Add beaten eggs and a little rose water. Mix well.
- 3 Add melted butter gradually until the dough is thick enough to roll out.
- 4 Mold the dough, roll it thin, and cut into shapes.
- 5 Bake on tin sheets in a moderate oven (350°F) until set.
