Rose Water Iced Apple Spice Pie
Ingredients
- 30 large pippin apples, peeled thinly
- 30 whole cloves
- 0.25 oz whole cinnamon
- 0.25 oz sliced cinnamon
- 0.25 lb candied orange peel
- 0.25 lb candied lemon peel
- 1.5 lbs refined sugar
- Butter, sugar, and rose water for icing
Method
- 1 Prepare a pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
- 2 Layer the peeled pippin apples into the crust.
- 3 Add cloves, whole and sliced cinnamon, candied orange peel, candied lemon peel, and sugar.
- 4 Cover with top crust and bake for four hours.
- 5 Ice with a mixture of butter, sugar, and rose water.
