Rose Water Iced Apple Spice Pie

Ingredients

  • 30 large pippin apples, peeled thinly
  • 30 whole cloves
  • 0.25 oz whole cinnamon
  • 0.25 oz sliced cinnamon
  • 0.25 lb candied orange peel
  • 0.25 lb candied lemon peel
  • 1.5 lbs refined sugar
  • Butter, sugar, and rose water for icing

Method

  1. 1 Prepare a pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
  2. 2 Layer the peeled pippin apples into the crust.
  3. 3 Add cloves, whole and sliced cinnamon, candied orange peel, candied lemon peel, and sugar.
  4. 4 Cover with top crust and bake for four hours.
  5. 5 Ice with a mixture of butter, sugar, and rose water.
