Rose Leaf Lemon Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup rose leaves
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 lemon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Method
- 1 Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly. Add well-beaten eggs.
- 2 Mix in flour, baking powder, salt, milk, grated lemon rind, lemon juice, and fresh rose leaves.
- 3 Divide batter into greased and floured gem pans.
- 4 Bake in a 350°F oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
