Rolled Sugar Wafers
Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 1 pint flour
- 2 ounces melted butter
- Milk, as needed
- Pounded loaf sugar, to taste
Method
- 1 Beat six eggs in a large bowl until well combined.
- 2 Add one pint of flour, two ounces of melted butter, and enough milk to create a thin batter. Stir in pounded loaf sugar to taste.
- 3 Pour the batter into preheated wafer irons. Bake quickly without allowing them to brown.
- 4 Remove wafers while hot and immediately roll them into shape before they cool and harden.
