Rolled Sugar Wafers

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 pint flour
  • 2 ounces melted butter
  • Milk, as needed
  • Pounded loaf sugar, to taste

Method

  1. 1 Beat six eggs in a large bowl until well combined.
  2. 2 Add one pint of flour, two ounces of melted butter, and enough milk to create a thin batter. Stir in pounded loaf sugar to taste.
  3. 3 Pour the batter into preheated wafer irons. Bake quickly without allowing them to brown.
  4. 4 Remove wafers while hot and immediately roll them into shape before they cool and harden.
