Rich Hot Chocolate With Whipped Cream
Ingredients
- 1 ½ oz bitter chocolate
- ¼ cup sugar
- 3 cups milk
- 1 cup boiling water
- Pinch of salt
- Whipped cream, for serving
Method
- 1 Scald the milk in a saucepan.
- 2 Melt the chocolate in a small saucepan over hot water.
- 3 Add sugar, salt, and boiling water to the chocolate; stir until smooth.
- 4 Bring the chocolate mixture to a boil for one minute.
- 5 Gradually stir the hot chocolate into the scalded milk.
- 6 Serve in cups topped with whipped cream.
