Pull Taffy
Ingredients
- 2 cups corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon water
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
Method
- 1 Boil the corn syrup, soda, and water for fifteen minutes.
- 2 Cook until a small amount snaps brittle when dropped in cold water.
- 3 Add the vinegar when this stage is reached.
- 4 Pour into oiled pans and let cool enough to handle.
- 5 Pull the taffy until white, then form into inch-thick rolls.
- 6 Clip into neat pieces with oiled scissors or chill and break into irregular pieces.
