Potato Dumplings With Fried Bread Centers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb potatoes, mashed
  • 7 oz coarse wheat flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup bread cubes, fried in butter or oil
  • Salt
  • Water for boiling

Method

  1. 1 Mix mashed potatoes, flour, and beaten eggs until dough doesn't stick to hands.
  2. 2 Form dough into balls, placing one fried bread cube in the center of each.
  3. 3 Boil in salted water for 15 minutes until they float to the top.
  4. 4 Serve with sauce or stewed dried fruits.
