Potato Dumplings With Fried Bread Centers
Ingredients
- 1 lb potatoes, mashed
- 7 oz coarse wheat flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup bread cubes, fried in butter or oil
- Salt
- Water for boiling
Method
- 1 Mix mashed potatoes, flour, and beaten eggs until dough doesn't stick to hands.
- 2 Form dough into balls, placing one fried bread cube in the center of each.
- 3 Boil in salted water for 15 minutes until they float to the top.
- 4 Serve with sauce or stewed dried fruits.
