Ingredients

  • 1 cup mashed potato
  • 2 tablespoons fat
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • About ½ cup milk or water

Method

  1. 1 Add melted fat to mashed potato.
  2. 2 Mix and sift flour, baking powder, and salt, then add to the potato mixture.
  3. 3 Add enough milk to make a soft dough.
  4. 4 Roll out ½ inch thick and cut with a biscuit cutter.
  5. 5 Bake in a quick oven (425°F) for 15 minutes.
