Potato And Onion Wholemeal Batter Bake
Ingredients
- 2 potatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup wholemeal flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for frying (optional)
Method
- 1 Fry the sliced potatoes and onions in butter until tender. Arrange them in layers in a pie dish.
- 2 Whisk together the wholemeal flour, eggs, milk, salt, and pepper to create a smooth batter.
- 3 Pour the batter evenly over the vegetables in the pie dish.
- 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 30 to 60 minutes, until the batter has formed a firm crust.
- 5 Serve hot with usual vegetables.
