Pomegranate Pear Salsa

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pomegranate seeds (approximately 1 pomegranate)
  • 2 large pears, diced
  • 2 tablespoons shallots, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 ounce pomegranate juice (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. 1 Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. 2 Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix until well incorporated.
  3. 3 Serve over chicken or fish or as a snack with whole wheat pita chips.
