Poached Figs With Vanilla Whipped Cream
Ingredients
- 1 lb figs
- cold water
- ½ cup sugar
- juice of ½ lemon
- whipped cream
- vanilla extract
Method
- 1 Soak figs overnight in cold water to cover.
- 2 Simmer figs over low heat until tender.
- 3 Stir in sugar and lemon juice.
- 4 Transfer to a serving dish and cool.
- 5 Top with vanilla-sweetened whipped cream.
