Poached Eggs On Toast With Milk
Ingredients
- 1 pint milk
- butter for frying pan
- fresh eggs
- salt and pepper
- buttered toast slices
Method
- 1 Butter a frying pan and add a pint of milk. Bring the milk to a boil.
- 2 Slip in fresh eggs, one at a time, and poach them as usual.
- 3 Skim out the eggs, season with salt and pepper, and place each on a slice of buttered toast.
- 4 Pour the hot milk over the eggs and serve immediately.
