Poached Apples With Whipped Cream

Ingredients

• 6-8 apples
• Lemon juice
• Spice
• Sugar (for syrup)
• Whipped cream

Method

1. 1 Peel, core, and quarter the apples.
2. 2 Cook apples in a thin sugar syrup flavored with lemon juice and spice until soft.
3. 3 Drain the apples and reduce the syrup by rapid boiling.
4. 4 Pour the reduced syrup over the apples and arrange in a serving dish.
5. 5 Chill the dish, then cover with whipped cream just before serving.
