Pistachio Ice Cream
Ingredients
- pistachio nuts
- cream
- sugar
- flavoring
- green coloring matter (or chopped spinach/parsley and alcohol)
Method
- 1 Blanch, pound, or grate the pistachio nuts.
- 2 Combine half the cream and all the sugar in a double boiler.
- 3 Stir until the sugar is dissolved, then set aside to cool.
- 4 Once cold, add the nuts, flavoring, remaining cream, and coloring.
- 5 Mix well and turn into the freezer to freeze.
