Pickled Red Cabbage With Ginger
Ingredients
- 1 firm red cabbage, cut into quarters and sliced
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, sliced
- 1 tsp black pepper
Method
- 1 Cut the firm red cabbage into quarters and slice thinly.
- 2 In a saucepan, boil the vinegar with the ginger and pepper.
- 3 Allow the vinegar mixture to cool completely.
- 4 Pour the cold vinegar over the sliced cabbage and seal tightly.
- 5 Let it stand for three weeks before serving.
