Pickled Oysters With Cloves And Peppers

Ingredients

  • Oysters
  • Salt and water (enough to float an egg)
  • Cloves
  • Whole peppers
  • Vinegar

Method

  1. 1 Wash and drain the oysters. Place them in salted water strong enough to float an egg.
  2. 2 Scald the oysters gently until they plump up, then remove them.
  3. 3 Pack the oysters into a glass jar along with cloves and whole peppers.
  4. 4 Once the contents have cooled, cover them completely with vinegar.
