Pickled Oysters With Cloves And Peppers
Ingredients
- Oysters
- Salt and water (enough to float an egg)
- Cloves
- Whole peppers
- Vinegar
Method
- 1 Wash and drain the oysters. Place them in salted water strong enough to float an egg.
- 2 Scald the oysters gently until they plump up, then remove them.
- 3 Pack the oysters into a glass jar along with cloves and whole peppers.
- 4 Once the contents have cooled, cover them completely with vinegar.
