Pickled Button Mushrooms With Ginger And Mace
Ingredients
- 1 lb small button mushrooms
- 1 quart water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup white wine vinegar
- 1 tsp mace
- 1 tsp ginger
Method
- 1 Trim mushroom stalks. Wash mushrooms and rub them dry with a clean cloth.
- 2 Bring water and salt to a boil. Add mushrooms and boil briefly, then strain through a cloth.
- 3 Prepare a pickle by combining white wine vinegar, mace, and ginger. Heat until fragrant.
- 4 Place mushrooms in jars, pour the hot pickle over them, add a little oil, and seal tightly.
