Parmesan Crusted Bread Rounds
Ingredients
- 1 French roll, crumbed
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt
- Pepper
Method
- 1 Cut the bread crumb into rounds a quarter-inch thick. Fry in hot fat until crisp, then drain on paper.
- 2 Top each crisp round with a thick layer of grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
- 3 Place in a Dutch oven near a clear fire just to melt the cheese. Serve immediately.
