Parmesan Cheese Souffle
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 cup hot milk
- ½ teaspoon salt
- dash cayenne pepper
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 egg whites
Method
- 1 Melt butter in a saucepan. Add flour, hot milk, salt, and cayenne pepper, stirring constantly until thickened.
- 2 Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese and beaten egg yolks. Let the mixture cool slightly.
- 3 Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites until fully incorporated.
- 4 Pour into a pudding dish and bake for 25 minutes. Serve immediately.
