Pan Fried Sliced Mushrooms
Ingredients
- middle-sized mushrooms
- flour
- olive oil
- salt
- pepper
- beaten eggs (optional)
Method
- 1 Scrape the stems and wash the mushrooms carefully. Do not soak them in water to preserve their odor.
- 2 Cut the mushrooms into rather large slices.
- 3 Dip the slices in flour. Optionally, dip them in beaten eggs after flouring, though this is considered superfluous.
- 4 Heat olive oil in a frying pan and fry the mushrooms until done.
- 5 Season with salt and pepper while they are frying.
