Pan Fried Sliced Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • middle-sized mushrooms
  • flour
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • beaten eggs (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Scrape the stems and wash the mushrooms carefully. Do not soak them in water to preserve their odor.
  2. 2 Cut the mushrooms into rather large slices.
  3. 3 Dip the slices in flour. Optionally, dip them in beaten eggs after flouring, though this is considered superfluous.
  4. 4 Heat olive oil in a frying pan and fry the mushrooms until done.
  5. 5 Season with salt and pepper while they are frying.
