Ingredients

  • boiled potatoes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • flour
  • milk
  • butter

Method

  1. 1 Mash boiled potatoes and season with salt and pepper.
  2. 2 Dredge the potatoes with flour and moisten with a very little milk.
  3. 3 Butter a frying pan and shape the mixture into a flat cake to fit it.
  4. 4 Cover and cook slowly until done, then dot the top with butter.
  5. 5 Brown the cake in the oven.
