Pan Fried Oysters With Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 quart large oysters
- 1 egg yolk
- Butter
- Salt
- Pepper
- Flour
Method
- 1 Wash the oysters in their own juice, then drain them thoroughly.
- 2 Dip the drained oysters into the beaten egg yolk to coat them.
- 3 Season the oysters with salt and pepper.
- 4 Heat butter in a frying pan and cook the oysters separately until browned on both sides.
- 5 Move the oysters to one side of the pan. Strain the oyster liquor into the pan.
- 6 Add a piece of butter and enough flour to the liquor to thicken it into a sauce.
