Pan-Fried Liver With Bacon Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1 liver, sliced
  • thin slices of bacon
  • salt
  • boiling water
  • pepper
  • browned flour

Method

  1. 1 Pour salted boiling water over the sliced liver, let stand for a few minutes, then drain.
  2. 2 Crisp the bacon slices in a hot frying pan. Arrange them around the edge of a platter or deep dish to keep warm.
  3. 3 Fry the liver in the bacon drippings and place it in the center of the dish.
  4. 4 Add a little boiling water to the pan, season with pepper and salt, and thicken with browned flour to make a gravy.
  5. 5 Pour the gravy over the liver or serve it separately.
