Pan-Fried Liver With Bacon Gravy
Ingredients
- 1 liver, sliced
- thin slices of bacon
- salt
- boiling water
- pepper
- browned flour
Method
- 1 Pour salted boiling water over the sliced liver, let stand for a few minutes, then drain.
- 2 Crisp the bacon slices in a hot frying pan. Arrange them around the edge of a platter or deep dish to keep warm.
- 3 Fry the liver in the bacon drippings and place it in the center of the dish.
- 4 Add a little boiling water to the pan, season with pepper and salt, and thicken with browned flour to make a gravy.
- 5 Pour the gravy over the liver or serve it separately.
